Qitek Labs USA consists of Qitek Labs in Duluth, GA and Qitek Labs of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, OK. Both facilities are state of-the-art independent reference laboratories offering a broad array of diagnostic tests. Our test menu includes toxicology, pharmacogenomics, respiratory infections, UTI/STI, ear infections, wound infections, and COVID-19 testing. Physicians can easily order, track all phases of testing, and view results directly from our portal. Our facility is operated by highly skilled scientists with degrees in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, and chemical engineering from respected universities.
We believe in transparency and effective communication. Qitek Labs has implemented several pieces of software including our laboratory information management system, clearinghouse and billing system, and additional systems that accurately interpret complex data into simplified results. We pride ourselves in knowing that we have customized the software systems to the point that all physicians can easily order, track their patient progress through all phases of testing, and view patient results directly from our portal. Qitek Labs strives to provide physicians with an environment that supports transparency and collaboration, ultimately delivering individualized patient-centered care.

Chief Executive Officer, Qitek Labs, Qitek Labs of Oklahoma, Qitek Labs USA
Zachary Husk has over a decade of experience in operating clinical laboratories that specialize in diagnostic testing. Zachary has held laboratory positions including Data Analyst, Laboratory Scientist, Business Consultant, Senior Vice President of Operations, and Chief Operating Officer. With his experience, Zachary leads the Qitek Labs USA organization into one of the United States’ most accurate, precise, and transparent laboratory systems focused on clear communication and results. He has years of experience in genetics, toxicology, and molecular microbiology. Notably, Zachary successfully implemented the first hereditary cancer genomics laboratory in the southeast of the United States during his time at a North Georgia laboratory early on in his career. He will work closely with physicians, marketers, sales representatives, and his team to provide individualized patient-centered care.
Richard Mullins, Ph.D., D.A.B.C.C., FACB
Lab Director, Qitek Labs
Dr. Mullins served as Director of Core Lab and Toxicology at Emory University Hospital from 1982 to 2003. He was the Laboratory Director at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences from 2004 to 2011, and Director of the Core Lab and Point of Care at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta from 2007 to 2011. He received his B.S. in Biochemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Virginia. Dr. Mullins completed a Fellowship in Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology at the Medical University of South Carolina and a Fellowship in Physiology at the University of Arizona. He has 86 book chapters, peer reviewed papers and abstracts in his academic career. Dr. Mullins looks forward to working with Qitek Labs as lab director for many years to come.
Shawn Desai, Ph.D., N.R.C.C.
Lab Director, Qitek Labs of Oklahoma
Dr. Desai is the CLIA High Complexity Medical Laboratory Director of multiple reference laboratories and physician office laboratories across the United States. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from University of South Florida, his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Emory University as a George W. Woodruff Fellow and a Osbourne R. Quayle Fellow, and his J.D. from The University of Georgia School of Law as a Law School Association Scholar. Dr. Desai has admissions within the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the State Bar of Georgia, and the National Registry of Certified Chemists.
